Job Summary This role ensures timely, accurate processing of all aspects of the identification, investigation, and validation processes for Coordination of Benefits (COB) and related eligibility products. The position monitors, prioritizes, and distributes work to assigned team(s). The incumbent will facilitate quality processing of cases according to policy, procedures, and client service level agreements (SLAs). This individual is responsible for identifying recoveries for assigned clients that meet or exceed forecasts and will partner with senior leadership to execute both short- and long-term production strategies. Key Responsibilities Schedule and prioritize work, approve time off, conduct performance reviews, hire and train employees, and enforce production, quality, and customer service standards/SLAs Serve as the primary point of contact for offshore contractors, including hiring, work assignment, approving hours, coordinating training, and resolving vendor-related issues Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to improve departmental KPIs and performance metrics Apply expertise in COB rules, regulations, methodologies, and audit tactics to support efficient day-to-day operations Ensure compliance with CMS, NAIC, and state COB guidelines, as well as internal and client expectations Maintain and enhance COB/OHI processes by monitoring trends and driving process improvement initiatives Maintain strict confidentiality when handling protected health information (PHI) and ensure team compliance Address client issues and complaints, determining and executing appropriate resolutions Select, develop, and evaluate staff to support efficient department operations Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and operational success Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies Demonstrate alignment with company core competencies and values Perform additional duties as assigned Please note: Due to exposure to PHI-sensitive data, this role is designated as a High-Risk Role . Job Scope This role operates under limited supervision and serves as a key contributor in the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures. The incumbent has a direct impact on departmental revenue through effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship of team members. This is a people leadership role with full authority over HR-related actions, including hiring, performance management, discipline, and training. The role also oversees work allocation and coordination of offshore resources. COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is $65-70 annually Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity. Qualifications Requirements High school diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years of experience in healthcare/insurance operations, coordination of benefits, or claims processing Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience Demonstrated ability to achieve results with a strong client-focused mindset Required licensures or certifications as applicable Strong organizational, analytical, and independent decision-making skills Proven problem-solving ability with strong prioritization and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel BENEFITS We realize that our employees are instrumental to our success, and we reward them accordingly with very competitive compensation and benefits packages, an incentive bonus program, as well as recognition and awards programs.
