The Role_ // As Masabi moves into its next stage of growth, we’re building the foundations that help our teams do their best work and grow with us.

This role is about shaping how People Operations supports that journey.

You’ll bring clarity, care and consistency to the employee experience, from onboarding and everyday support through to people programs, systems and the moments that matter most.

You’ll own the day-to-day running of People Operations end-to-end, from onboarding and employee queries through to certain core programs, employment and compliance activities, payroll inputs, systems and vendor coordination, helping everything run smoothly and without unnecessary friction.

This role sits at the intersection of strong HR fundamentals and operational thinking.

You’ll be hands-on, trusted to build things that scale and make a meaningful, lasting impact, using systems, data and automation where it makes sense.

This is a builder role for someone who enjoys spotting what feels unclear, repetitive or overly manual, and turning it into something simpler, more thoughtful and more effective.

The right person will care as much about people as they do about how things run.

You’ll notice where employees or managers experience friction, and take the lead in making things simpler, more human and easier to navigate.

This role reports into our Chief People Officer, and you'll have one direct report.

Location_ // This role is available in a fully remote model only for candidates based in Romania.

Responsibilities_ Own the running of People Operations across a globally distributed workforce, from employee queries and lifecycle changes to onboarding, offboarding, contracts, benefits and HR systems Partner with the wider People team to deliver key People programs such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, compensation cycles and probation tracking Own Masabi’s EOR and PEO relationships, ensuring that employment laws, compliance guidelines, benefits and local norms are addressed and followed throughout the global workforce.

Build and improve processes, workflows, programs and self service experiences so they’re clear, consistent and easy to follow Keep people data accurate and useful, maintaining BambooHR, supporting reporting and giving the team visibility when they need it Keep core People Operations compliant, organised and audit-ready across systems, training, documentation and employee records Work closely with Finance, IT, People Partners and external providers to keep payroll inputs, onboarding, EOR processes and vendors running smoothly Build more scalable and thoughtful People Operations as Masabi grows, improving employee experience across key moments in the employee lifecycle Own documentation and knowledge management for the People team, so process, policy and know-how live in one clear place, not just in people's heads About You_ You bring broad, strong HR Generalist experience, across People Operations, HR Operations or a similar remit, and you're comfortable owning things end to end You have solid employment law fundamentals and working knowledge of HR practices across different countries, and you know how to apply that practically, not just in theory You’re confident with systems, spreadsheets and data, and you use them to stay organised, spot patterns and support decisions You can manage external providers, from payroll and EOR partners to benefits and background-check vendors, negotiating terms and holding them to agreed service levels.
