Job Description
Leland is building the home for ambition in the age of AI. We connect people with the experts, programs, and communities they need to land the job, get into the school, or upskill for a world being rewritten by AI. We help businesses become AI-native through training, hiring, and infrastructure. Since our founding in 2021, we've helped tens of thousands of people reach their most ambitious goals and raised $19M from world-class investors. Ambition is sacred to us, and we've built a product that takes that seriously.
We're seeking an experienced College Admissions Coach to work with students navigating the college application process from start to finish. This role includes helping students with general exploration of schools and programs, guiding school selection, and building an overall application strategy. Coaches also support students with essays, secondary review, supplementary materials, and resume building, along with editing to help polish every part of the application. Additional guidance includes preparing for interviews, securing strong recommendations, navigating financial aid & scholarships, understanding testing & assessments, and developing a waitlist strategy when needed. Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of the college admissions landscape (as a former admissions officer, counselor, or industry professional), a track record of helping students put their best applications forward, and a clear, structured approach to guiding students through a stressful and high-stakes process. Coaches set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student.
